Far more often, you've got people in the trenches who aren't natural born killers and balk at pulling the trigger on anyone. It's a reflex military training is designed to force out of you.

We need to do a better job teaching our men to be careful what they wear and where they wear it. Because some people in the world see a hostile military bombing them and think it gives them permission to defend themselves.

I think the ,,told u so!" approach isn't necessarily the best approach if we want to stop the facists as they feed of division and hatred and actively enforce societal conflicts. If we want to beat them we need to relearn to cooperate as that's the one thing the left (in theory) is superior in.
