I named him Poop in my most recent game. My kids thought it was the funniest thing ever.
Maybe I'm boring, but I usually just do every vowel variation of Link that isn't his real name. Lank, Lunk, Lonk and sometimes Lenk populate all my save files.

I named him Daddy in ALTTP to differentiate from my kids profile. That was interesting.
Back in the day my brother named his Link "IAMALIAR", he had to leave the spaces out to make it fit.
