It’s like being a lady is somehow now the same as hallmark greeting cards. It’s a shame that being a Lady is now the same as spamming terrible illustrations.
I can buy napkins at the Christmas tree shop that express more than most lady posts here.
I totally get wanting spending money. Also having expensive hobbies. But even as a cash-strapped student I never went over budget. So I don’t understand people that could stay in budget but decide to blow more money than they have.
I am obviously not talking about people that don’t have enough income to cover minimal costs, but people that grow their expenses way past reason.
I don't understand coworkers routinely meeting up outside of work and being involved in each other's lives. I like my coworkers just fine but work does not provide the environment I want to build real relationships off of. Also I generally live by the rule of don't shit where you eat. I fake being social as much as I can but I'm sure everyone thinks I'm weird.
monogamy. people try and try to make it work, but it so often just hurts them or their partner or both. they cheat, or they beat themselves up for wanting other people, or they suffer never having a relationship with someone they love, or they leave someone they love to be with someone they might love more, and no end of other bad situations. i hate that its pushed on us and i dont understand why people insist that its the natural way for us to be. since i committed to nonmonogamy ive been so much happier and it feels so right. how could anyone want to limit their relationships and the relationships of the person they claim to love the most by forcing themselves to be exclusive?
I am “naturally” monogamous, as in I am perfectly fulfilled with a single partner at a time. A single relationship is just the maximum I can handle. On one hand, I think polygamy makes most sense. Having different needs met by different partners seems so good on paper, the necessity of clear communication is a great boon as well. On the other hand, I just don’t feel like that. I never even had crushes on multiple people at the same time. And being a moral person, I ended relationships when they weren’t working anymore.
This to say: some people just “are” monogamous. Not being a cheating asshole is extra, though.
i see what youre saying, but please dont use the word polygamy that way... the word youre looking for is polyamory, or the more general nonmonogamy. polygamy might be technically correct in the root word sense, but the modern definition means one man with multiple wives.
Isn't that polygyny? Polygamy still doesn't specify genders, I don't think. We also have polyandry for one woman with multiple husbands.
That said, all three terms are specific to marriage and AFAIK generally refer to relationships where one person has multiple partners who themselves do not have more partners, so polyamory is generally more useful.

The words of the person whom i've already asked twice to repeat themselves.
Oh god that moment... do you agree? Disagree? Laugh? Run away and change your identity? Gah!
Keeping up with the Jones.
