Until you pull out that What Hi-Fi? magazine to see its cover story of The Future of Hi-Fi is about how to upscale your old 128kbps rips with ChatGPT.

This "CODE" magazine on bottom left is very suspicious. It reads something like "without engineering discipline", and on the top line it reads LLM, AI, WASM, Agent Development or so.

It's really just fooling people by promising power it doesn't give them.

Everything easy also had a for dummies book so maybe that’s not the flex we thought it was.

In fairness magazines have long been slop for boomers. The magazine market is pretty much dead for anyone under 60.

For what it's worth, I dropped by a Barnes and Noble not long ago and the tech mags section still carries 2600 magazine. I was delighted to pick up the most recent issue.

Everyone thought OpenAI made software but it looks like some of those invested billions are going into publishing magazines
