Yeah, each spider eats a lot of insects. If you don’t like ants, mosquitoes, and other annoying things, don’t kill your spiders. It’s not 1:1, it’s like 1:100s or more.
And they’re far more scared of you (you’re a literal Goliath monster in their world) so if you never want to see them again, you’re unlikely to with any individual spider.
If you treat them well, they will start trusting you. It’s weird but true.
I mean, duh. The problem is that he'll most likely starve in my house. There's next to no bugs in here. But hey, live and learn. He can always leave voluntarily 😄

Let him go. 1 spider is better than having all the insects he’ll kill, and you’re unlikely to see him ever again.

That's a spitting spider, most likely Scytodes thoracica. They are really cool.
I don't see many of these.
They are a rare but welcome sight. I recently had one in my flat but 2 days later it was gone again.
