With the final shot from the GENESIS super laser, the Second Battle of Jachin Due ended in a tense stalemate. Both sides have lost too much to continue fighting. PLANT's acting Supreme Council Chairwoman Eileen Canaver proposed a ceasefire that was accepted by her opponents in Washington DC, and the First Alliance-PLANT War drew to an uneasy close.

The war which lasted over 19 months saw fighting across the entire Earth sphere, and brought countless devastation to human civilization. What was initially "simple" economy and autonomy dispute had escalated further and further until humanity was on the brink of extinction.

After many months of tense negotiations, a peace treaty was ratified at the city of Nairobi, in March the following year. Alliance member states will recognize PLANT as an independent nation, in exchange PLANT will leave Alliance territories they still occupied, such as Taiwan. Both parties must also return any territory taken from non-aligned nations.

But not everyone was willing to accept the end. Anti-coordinator extremist group Blue Cosmos and its militant arm Phantom Pain continued their terrorist activities. Coordinator extremists also kept on fighting a guerilla war, occasionally even against their own people.
