Realizing he had broken his own law, he chose to kill himself to uphold it.

Its OK, the French Revolutionaries didn't change laws to execute their oppressors.

The big problem as I see it is the state having the legal power to execute.

Listen, if I made a law that everyone wearing toe shoes gets a public spanking, then showed up wearing toe shoes, people would assume I wanted a public spanking. Maybe Charondas had some shit going on.

Those both read the same thing, though. You need a comma, my friend. "One day after hunting..." or "One day, after hunting..."
