An old movie called Ferris buellers day out off or something along those lines includes an early scene where a teacher calls out for bueler, who is not there, but simply does not stop calling their name in a monotone voice.

This is a reference to that scene. The name on the cup is beuller thus, the Starbucks employee must call the name, but no bueller is there, just like the movie

Which most Starbucks don't even say the name anymore and just leave the drink at the "Pick up" station.

When they did call the names, it was only once. And never in the tone that made the scene iconic.

yeah honestly exactly 40 years isn't even that old at all. It's not even old enough to hold any office for any modern country. Riding on "junior member of parliament" territory

The scene is also famous because the teacher is explaining how America tried to get out of depression with tariffs and it only made the economy worse. The Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act of 1930, then Reagan in the 80s.

Yes 'Furious Beller's Day Out', a famous cartoon from the 70's featuring a college teacher who skips teaching to perform a dance during the Macy's day parade.

It features a hilarious scene where his friend accidentally flies his Mom's helicopter through the roof.

Has Gen Z seen Ferris Buelker’s day off?

They might like it.

They might not. But they might.

It's not every movie that you get to watch a real life pedo chase a school kid around all day.

Or they ordered it, took a picture of it, then drank it. But what do I know.

You reached the end
