No shit. When your job is mostly telling entertaining stories to audiences, you're gonna need to spice up the details. Comedians don't just naturally stumble into hilarious situations frequently enough to regularly fill 60 minute stand up routins.
If anyone believes that comedians are telling true stories, I have a bridge to sell you.
