I was feeling it only two episodes in, but I say with confidence now that this season is an all-timer. The narratives are really good, we get to see cool places, and the game design is appealing to virtually play along with.
a. Todam's station looked very abandoned, when they got off
b. One of them even said that no one uses it
c. The abandoned station challenge is still in play
And also they cut to the end before generating a new challenge and pulling a card.
What are they hiding from us regarding the next episode?
Yes exactly, they switched into the tiny 1-car train and got off on a pretty random station (the first after the prefecture border), so I think Adams plan could still be on. Except they seem to have forgotten about this challenge when they immediately leave the station without really checking if anybody else is getting off.
Shout out to the Nebula subtitles team. I was watching on the train into work this morning and even with noise cancelling headphones it's a bit too much background noise to clearly understand what's being said. Turned on the subtitles worried it wouldn't work at all or wouldn't be good quality. But nope. Absolutely top-notch. When it was split-screen showing two competitors over the left and B-roll on the right, the subtitles shift over to the left. Two people speaking in the same scene show up in different colours. Just great attention to detail.

I thought the very same things.
I like that every time someone asks what they're doing, Sam and Adam say "scavenger hunt" and Ben gives them the marketing pitch for the show

The last 15 minutes were absolutely perfect. So funny seeing everything the rollercoaster of emotions from hope back to despair :D
Any of you going to the two episode showings at theaters? I'm thinking about going.
