Nah, they usually get to a mostly stable-adjacent spot after a couple years of patches. Then they put out a re-release full of new and exciting bugs. It's the Bethesda circle of life.

I sure never encountered that stable version of a TES game, not anywhere from Daggerfall to Skyrim.

Instead they still need truckloads of fanmade fixes and still crash randomly even 10 years and 3 rereleases after the initial one.

Nearly all of them got to a stable**-ish** version (well, maybe not my beloved Daggerfall) after a couple of years. Skyrim felt like it was at its peak of stability right before they released their first major DLC/expansion. It never really recovered.
