Do People Dance to EDM anymore?

Have been burned 3 times by going out to EDM nights but each time I was easily the oldest (62) and people didn't really dance. It seems to be more about hyping each other up rather than being absorbed by the music. Is that just how it is now everywhere in Sydney? Is it a generational thing?

Yeah places like new orleans was amazing but even then you started getting the girls gone wild pictures and videos being taken ruining the whole thing.

I got chatting with a 74 year old guy at Revolver Upstairs today, I'm mid 40s.

Got a bunch of mid 40s friends in Melbourne regularly hitting up dance gigs. I miss bush doofs but they mostly died off during lockdown.

The original bush doof Earthcore also died when Spiro did.

I got friends over 50 who build their own PA but don''t advertise their parties to strangers.

Never gonna see that $700 Spiro owed me for security work.

Sorry to hear that. Was that at the very last EC? You could have made a claim on the deceased estate but perhaps more trouble that it was worth.

When Krusty was part of the crew I got paid on-site after my gig.

Other times it took ages.

I went to some great smaller parties that Krusty ran. I worked hospo at the time. It was nice to load up a car with bar staff and hit up a doof at 3am.

Tonight ended up good despite my bitching about previous EDM events. Went to electro-acoustic gig. Eventually got pumping. Whole age spectrum here too.

You reached the end
