It's endlessly hilarious to me that yanks can't understand that the civilised world aren't like them, and don't want to be like them

Because we're better than them

Erm. This kind of exceptionalism is exactly why we despise Magastan. I hope the irony of your statement isn't lost on you, or that you are just trolling.

Take it as you will, but I hold the US as a "nation" beneath contempt, and not all, but most of the inhabitants

People don't choose which country they are born in(to). I also despise their exceptionalism, but that doesn't mean I am inclined to feel like I am better than anyone else based on where I was born.

People's "value" isn't baked into them at the moment of birth. Being a shitty person might not be that person's "fault" but they can still be an objectively shitty person and the reasons don't always matter.

Not sure how that relates to the point I made. That said, the reasons do matter, otherwise you can't start looking for potential solutions.

I'm an american and seeing that the comments here are about america baffles me. The meme is good as-is.

Belgian guy I just showed this to asked why it wasn't the US in the cuck chair. People just want to see the US humiliated because they deserve it.

US is looking in from across the street with the masked crying wojak face.

Yes I know I need to touch grass.

Also certain Americans in real life. Don't get me wrong, many outgrow it, but genuine confusion that other places are equally real is kind of like the default.

TBH, there's some built up resentment from that kind of thing in Canada.

Kind of would miss the point of the joke. UK, Brexit...

That would make sense if she were the EU. The US and Canada used to be extremely close trade partners.

Why would the UK be in the chair if the woman was the EU and the man was canada?

Eta: trade agreements or whatever the eu thing ends up being will likely require changes to law and the Governor General (crown Rep in canada) needs to give "royal assent". So somewhat indirectly, canada needs the crown's permission to form this partnership.

I edited my post with more info before your comment got to me:

Eta: Brain not working so hot this morning lol. The UK left the EU, why would the EU be looking to the UK for permission?

The permission was already granted, I interpreted it as the EU making sure if this totally insane arrangement was what the braindead UK wanted.

It works the way it is because Canada is still a Commonwealth country and has English royalty on their money

No, that’s not how the British monarchy works at all. Read a history book.
