Because games are oftem made by somewhat passionate developers and managed/distributed by... someone else

I hate to say it but its the sole reason I keep giving Nintendo a pass.

When I buy my daughter a AAA Nintendo title its a FULL GAME and its damn well polished. I get exactly what I paid (too much) for.

In most cases, yes.

But then you get a Mario Strikers Battle League, or a Pokemon Scarlet/Violet once in a while.

Me when I'm in a bootlicking competition and my opponents are Nintendo fanboys... (They love corpo boot when it sells them colourful characters from their childhoods)

You can do this with any product - industry pair and go "such a strange dichotomy, they sell these products that make me happy but it's as if it's all about making money in the end". It's called capitalism.
