On-going Issues?

Anyone else having issues seeing other communities and posts since the bot attack a few days ago?

If there's a better place to ask this question please let me know!

You're not alone. Last post from ![email protected] (NSFW) was from 5 days ago when viewing through SJW, but you'll see the missing posts when viewing on another instance.

Thanks for the validation, UsedCumSock. I thought it was me for a while there lol

It’s in the body. I’m having issues seeing posts in some other communities.

Specifically, I can’t see any posts in the womensstuff community for the last 4-5 days. It appears votes aren’t visible either.

I can see posts there. I can see your post and comment. The previous post was 5 days ago. So there appears to be nothing that you've missed? Unless you mean you can't see older posts either?

Ah, right. I went to their instance and can see them.

So yes, I am having issues.

I switched to my Lemmy.world account and checked there. I can't see anything for more days then from my itjust.works instance.

Seems to be a federation issue with blahaj.zone?

Chiming in as an instance admin. The larger the instance the slower federation becomes as it has to send the data to every instance that it federates with, if you’re a small instance just starting out federating with Lemmy.world for example is extremely slow as you’re essentially last in line to receive any data.

I have also noticed holes in federation, for instance a community I created [email protected] federates with sh.itjust.works fine but not Lemmy.world (haven’t figured out why).

Give it time it may correct itself.

Hmm it started during the issues sh.itjust.works 4-5 days ago. Of course it can still be a federation issue stemming from that, I think? I’m admittedly not super knowledgeable about this stuff compared to others.
