Jesus fucking Christ...
AI breaks Windows and then, Windows break AI clients. I find this really funny.
They gotta stop vibe coding windows, it's wild. My work machine was fine about a year ago, not great but fine. It had updates maybe fortnightly and worked fine. Now it gets a random office or system update like 3 times a week and has a constant onslaught of random bugs.
A customer installer Photoshop elements 10 on windows 11.
Not long after, boot loop, can't fix itself.
Had to rebuild the BCD and some other bootrec commands to finally get to a bsod about a Roxio driver that 11 had decided was bad and just plain died rather than preventing installation. Recovery wouldn't boot either, had to use a Linux live on Ventoy to nuke said driver file.
Laughs in Linux
I had windows foisted on me when I started at my new role, i tried to make WSL work but it was always janky especially in combination with security software they install
Managed to convince them to give me a 5 year old Mac mini and it is a dream
After seeing update after update fuck up windows i am glad i didn’t try make it work
Still occasionally use windows, and system stability is a bigger issue than ever before. I just want to download files and type emails. Please don't crash. Why has my resolution suddenly become an issue? Why is my window 3x larger than my screen?
