If the @PremiumBot thing is inaccessible through the iOS app, as that “Note” leads me to assume, then they should be compliant in the same way the Kindle store is, I think. As long as it’s happening through a web browser or their official IAP system, Apple doesn’t (currently) care about it.
Yeah, pretty much this. Apple will allow you to charge for the same services without their bullshit as long as it's not directly linked within the app. Some apps go as far as to have a "view my profile on the web" sort of thing which has clear links to better payment options which gets a little close to the edge.
Fortnite was actively trying to go around the rules and trying to process payments within the app. Which apple has an issue with.
The rules don't really make perfect sense, but such are the apple rules on stuff like this.

How does telegram get away with bypassing app store payments? Wasn't this the same thing that got fortnite removed from the stores? | Spyke
