This alone isn't enough to get me to switch over to a different navigation app, but I certainly do have a preference for apps that will never deliberately give me suboptimal directions even when doing so is collectively best.

Bad title.
This was experiment done by google to reduce traffic congestion and co2 waste by offering different routes that spread the load on roads.
Note. Experiment was, I guess, performed on a limited area, not worldwide.
That's what I assumed when I read that inflammatory title.
