There's no need to distinguish between what is being smoked, smoking in general should be banned at public events, including vapes. If they don't want to do that entirely, then have a dedicated section for it. And enforce it.

Even as a non-user, I'm not anti-pot. My only concern is that you be respectful to others when you partake in it.
Hint: in the crowd at a major sporting event is not that respectful location.
They should ban smoking weed at US Open.
