“It is important for us to continue growing soccer in Atlanta and utilizing the NWSL team as part of that. But at the same time, it’ll be great and really important for us for the team to have their own brand, their own identity, as well,” Blank said.

“We don’t want it to be seen as a sister club to Atlanta United. You will see the clubs work together at points. You’ve seen it some around the World Cup where Atlanta United and the NWSL team have activated at fan fests and pubs together, but it’s equally important for the brand to have their own voice within the community and be able to speak to their core audience and fans in a unique way that fits who they are trying to be and engage with.”
