He doesn’t really seem to have good ideas outside of being in the right place at the right time with Facebook
He stole Facebook. He knows how to steal and now that he's big enough he can't steal anymore. Using that "free" Facebook VPN (Onavo) he saw where the most traffic was going and bought those sites. Buying What's App and Instagram were the two big ones that brought awareness to his plan to own the most popular parts of the internet.
He doesn't know how to make anything. Zuck takes existing things that work.

"Secret" plan when he had everyone forced to train AI in how to do their job. The only person who thought it was a secret was the idiot who thought up the plan in the first place.
They are so many people who think they are so much more clever than everyone else but are not. Trump and Musk are two other examples.
