Very nice. If the official availability of Firefox is a big hurdle. I know you could get it previously through third party sources I currently have an old laptop running B5. This will make it so much easier to get up and running. Just install and go for most people

Firefox code has been usable even before Beta 6, but without official trademark aggreement the browser was called Iceweasel (as it had been on Debian before)

Yep I went through all that with several Linux distributions in the past as well. But for the average person this is a big step towards usability. Unfortunately name recognition means a lot to the average person. Whether or not ice weasel et all were identical apart from branding.

In a sea of alien changes. It is a smiling and welcome old friend for them. I already have most of my relatives on Linux at this point. Though I have a few old early Intel Core laptops that are prime candidates to run haiku.
