I'm going to start using that word weirdo to whenever I hear 'California Forever'. That's exactly what goes when the name pops up. Ideas of CA secede from the Union, splitting the state into 3 states, and came to our small town touting "let's turn your only Amtrak station into a highspeed rail station using eminent domain" even though our town was never part of any highspeed rail plan.
Total weirdos.
