Yeah, looks like underwater photography
It does a bit - it wasn't though, I took these close up to a tree near my home at the time. I was using a clip on macro lens on my phone, which I think is what gives it that weird look.
So alien and cool. I love lichen.
You could say you've taken a lichen to it... :-)
