And not just in tech. Anything with expertise.
I know lots of people doing home improvement jobs or appliance issues that haven't had to call a repairman/plumber/contractor/electrician. People tinkering with their car that didn't need to take it to the shop. And ofc people not needing to take their laptop to the Geek Squad.
On and on and on
I've called 8 contractors for my house now... every single one of them has lied, promised visits, no showed or just vanished and refuse to give quote.
