(Beginners) Getting to Know Mesecons
i will be posting here next few days some information intended for people from threadiverse who may get interested in Luanti-based games on how to adapt if they are coming from Minecraft
i dont have the time for creating video content (recording, editing, so on) so i will just share videos already around on PeerTube (feel free to comment YouTube videos but i wont link those on my posts)
these are convenience posts for threadiverse lurkers, if someone wants to do a more complete in one place posts and maybe video, feel free to do it the more the better for getting people to try out and stick around longer on Luanti

for people who enjoyed messing around with redstones, this is one of the Luanti mods that could get you to do what you could with redstones and even more!

if you plan on hosting a server and you want to restrict usage of some mesecons by ofher people in your server, there is a mod called Mese Restriction to help doing it

I love Mesecons. Every now and then, I get a hankering to just go build a counter-and-seven-segment-display or some such using only "wires" and logic gates (none of the fancier nodes like the microcontroller one or anything). I've only really ever used Mesecons in creative mode, but maybe some day I should change that.
You definitely do want to be careful with it on public servers, though. The "command block" can do arbitrary admin commands and if not locked down can be used (I almost said "exploited" but if you just leave that open, is it really an "exploit"?) by any user who can build one to run any admin command. I don't remember if there are any other blocks that can be used to similar ends.
