I spent a lot of time in Egypt’s southwest Sahara, and almost any time you encounter bedrock it’s just completely full of little fossils. Clearly that’s because it used to be the sea floor, but being in the middle of the desert and seeing marine fossils everywhere you look is a very fun experience.
