good luck. DAY 45 [OC, inspired*]
wanted to make something like this for a while. so now since i'm on a throughput train, i made it. horray.
* inspired note
- the visuals are heavily inspired by the style and abstractions used in rational animation videos. their king and the golem vid is fantastic

This rational animation channel seems to focus pretty non-stop on AI-risk crank talking points. Can't tell by skimming if they're engaging critically, but it seems unlikely.
And now you're apparently inspired to make a cutsiefied rendering of a slop machine running prompts, which is likened to a child being encouraged to explore.
I don't wanna shit on the art or anything, but it seems like the general AI psyop is getting to you a little.
I also watch and like that channel, it definitely has a bias and affinity, but IMO it is well researched and does a good job of explaining that perspective and the rationale behind it as opposed to just reciting talking points. I liked the most recent video about the threat of permanent dystopias, even though I don't agree with some of the implicit assumptions it's making about the nature of the problem (Rationalist stuff leans neoliberal). It's fun and probably important to think about the long term future of humanity in an analytical way, sci-fi style.
yeye i know what you mean. the channel does go through the topics critically, it's not a "ohno blabla whatever out of control" kinda thing. eengaging thumbnails and titles don't mean sloppy scary stuff in this case. i believe in most of what they say because i see it happening myself in lil experiments i like running locally and because they really do present things... rationally. i think.
in the body content i mentioned that this kinda post idea h been sitting on me for a while and... now is just the time that i have the free slot of a "daily post" so i made it. cuuuzz why not. i know lemmy hates anything ai, and i get it absolutely buuuut... whatever. peeps said "post what you want" and so i'm doing that.
the cutsie / child-like action taking was inspired by rational animations btw, i just liked that bit and stole it.
