I have a feeling that meeting other nudists in their element, and later seeing how they dress in public, gives me unique insight into why they like dressing that way. Some people like to make their clothing as light as possible - thinner shirts, wearing shorts - yearning for when they can be naked again, whereas others almost compensate for the time spent nude by dressing elaborately in clothed society.

In contrast to clothed society, the sexiest thing someone can wear is their underwear + a t-shirt. I really like the way that the diagonal lines of briefs can highlight the shapes of someone's body, and create a boundary between the legs and torso, exentuating both in equal measure. Also, it just looks comfy.

Because my family was way more relaxed with clothing, it took me a while to realise that stuff like going commando can be frowned upon, or that tank tops were supposed to be 'sexy.'

To be honest, my family and friends have always said I'm quite into fashion. I had a elective class on it in 8th grade and I was the only boy in the class 🫣.

::: spoiler I think what I want this post to highlight is that nudists (partial or total) don't necessarily hate clothes. Rather, we have a relationship with them which is more akin to ancient peoples. This is a tangent, but did you know...

• Human civilisation frequently had people strolling around naked until, I think, medieval times? In Rome and fertile crescent civilisations, slaves might not get to own their own clothes, and it was warm enough for them to go bare. If you picture the clothing of ancient Greece and Rome, you'll realise that they were essentially partially nude the whole time - the male toga had a gap through which it showed a lot of their torso.
• 1st + 2nd world societies as recent as 1930, like Russia and japan and Britain, had regions where women would bare their breasts freely when engaging in manual labour together (think food or firewood gathering) I find this quite fascinating but it only hits you if recounted in full context, and I'm just simplifying it off the top of my head.
