Canada can make a stand, but apparently we can't.

EU has a grand strategy of appeasing the Orange until it disconnects from the US - at least that is what are EU apologists saying. EU is loosing credibility fast I'd say.

This was always the design post-WW2 reconstruction. The US had the only working economy that was not destroyed by the war, and basically wrote the rules in its favor.

Why people forget that was the initial set up, I don’t understand. The EU was ALWAYS going to be subservient to US demands because the US took control of the global money supply.

A strong EU is not in the best interests for US global strategy. The whole point is for the US to force its “allies” into action against China and Russia. The US doesn’t want an equal partner ship with the EU, it wants economic control of its vassal and an indirect rule. Let the EU countries squabble over details and the management of the bureaucracy while the US sets the agenda.

Russia at least is doing that all on it's own. If anything the US under Trump would rather we caved and let Russia conquer eastern Europe. He probably imagines a Western Europe as a 51st (52nd if Canada is 51st?) state.
