He took over 500k from them for his failed 2024 run, not taking now is going to open him to questions on what changed that he's not taking the money now when he took it before other than the bad publicity
Most Republican voters don't care about facts anyway - it's all about being told what they want to hear at that moment. You'd think they'd know a leopard can't change it's spots since it's a biblical message, but they only pay lip service to that, too.
