This is my biggest fear these days. I have MS and because of the damage already, I can't be exposed to temps above ~85F (~29.4c) before becoming disabled.

I have been fortunate enough to be able to afford a 6KwH capable PV system and have now added ~55Mj of storage which would be enough to power a small chest freezer and hopefully keep a basement room cool enough with an inverter heat pump. Like I said, I have been very fortunate because that cost me a mid-luxury car worth of money in mostly upfront cash.

Which makes it feel like a crime what is happening to the PV/Solar industry in the USA because of corruption. For over a decade the cost of cells and even the inverters have been going down but who knows if that will continue now?
