Testing some new cheesecake ideas, finally getting the last bit of my car fixed, spending time with a friend who's back from out of town, and going to the circus and kayaking with my nieces. Busy week, but looking forward to it all.
Basically if you 3D print it's hard to add on top without something underneath it. This is not surprising, but limits the kind of shapes that you can print.
People have been thinking and experimenting and sharing ideas and now a lot of printing essentially into empty space is now possible!
I find the actual techniques amazing, but also the way that a community of people have come together and innovated and created things which genuinely make the world better. Humans can be very cool.

On the other hand, it makes me yearn for a world where we're not crushed under the boot heels of capitalism, where this can be the norm instead of done in the spaces that corporations haven't yet sucked the life out of for profit.
