Military sexual trauma survivors can’t sue the government. A new bill could change that.
The Military Sexual Trauma Accountability Act, which has bipartisan support, would allow service members to sue the military for sexual misconduct and related issues, such as failing to investigate reports of misconduct or for negligence in creating an unsafe environment where sexual assault or harassment is allowed to fester.
