I think the standard exists, but is optional. So if WiFi 8 makes it mandatory, there’s no more goofy non-implementation or partial implementations and everyone (and every manufacturer/system) can expect the same behavior.
Excellent. There’s no use blindly increasing maximum throughput without focusing on reliability and signal strength. Given Wifi 7’s max speeds, Wifi 8 really doesn't need to focus on that at all.
