- Loads: Area below the zero line is Loads (exports and power stored in batteries or pumped hydro).
- Curtailment: The white-hatched area above Solar shows renewable generation which was curtailed (switched off or just unused) due to excess generation which could not be stored.
- Battery Charging cost is due to batteries charging in the middle of the day when wholesale prices are negative.

Coal also hides the real costs too, like the cleanup caused by air pollution, health, etc. There are also coal seam fires that have been burning for years
