Such a weird title... Does the author really not see the difference between THIS and THIS?

Like, come on! There absolutely IS a way to treat inmates humanely or inhumanely...

You fell for the prison psy op and missed the point of the article. "More humane" prisons completely ignores the abysmal conditions that persist regardless of superficial headlines. Prisons remain a form of social control for the elite to profit off the result of the suffering that capitalism creates (violence and trauma). But it gets worse because most people in prison are just poor or non white (disproportionately).
