A prehistoric sanctuary near Chleby, over 6,500 years old, served as a ritual centre linked to the movements of the Sun and Moon...one of Central Europe's oldest monuments.

The research is part of the international project Long-term Land Use Dynamics within the Areas of Prehistoric Ritual Places, which focuses on changes in prehistoric ritual landscapes. The research is being carried out in cooperation with the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Charles University and the University of Hradec Králové.
