Why would any community see a value to a data center? They produce noise and Pollution while increasing electric and water costs and use. The value proposition was supposed to be that, you deal with negative stuff and in exchange we provide high paying jobs. That works with factories but not data centers as they only require a minimal number of local staff to operate. So what’s the “sell” here?
