Flock banned tech YouTuber from its event, so his team Flocked it
So, his team set up a bunch of tech to interfere with the company’s event and even managed to capture Flock attendee chatter on microphones they forgot to switch off.
Jordan then flew his drone and captured images of politicians, police, and senators in attendance.

Benn Jordan. He’s essentially a national treasure as far as I’m concerned.
Protect this man at all costs!
This guy is doing great work, we need hundreds of others to be doing the same thing. Watch the watchers.
Is it not fraud to cancel someone else's reservation without their permission?
Yeah I don't see how they got him kicked from his room when the hotel is independent from the convention. Unless the convention pre purchased all the rooms prior to the event, that was the sketchy part.
Nah. The right to refuse service - which allows a hotel to boot guests for things like naziism without a court case after - unfortunately allows a hotel to boot a guest without saying whether it's because a large booking was going to pull out if it didn't.
Right, but it says a Flock employee cancelled the room, not that the hotel refused service. It sounds as though someone just called up and cancelled the reservation for Ben Jordan.
I'm sure the implication is that, "you either boot this person or your entire block of rooms is canceled."
wish they would have pushed back after draggin their feet to reply. Im like 100% sure it would have effed their event if they tried to cancel a bunch of rooms last minute. Granted they won't use them next year then. still with the way the world is I bet they don't even remember or some other thing would take of. like news they refused to which you know. could get leeked.
No, fraud would require both deception and some sort of monetary/property/right loss.
They reportedly identified as themselves, not the booker. And they didn’t deprive the booker of any of those things.
They’re just assholes, and un/fortunately for various reasons both ways, that is not illegal.
I have doubts that this actually happened
The man responsible for all this Benn, is a staunch free speech activist and sound engineer and artist. I've followed him for years. I 100% believe him on all of this, especially if you do any research into him or his methods.
It just seems way more likely that Flock just asked the hotel to kick him out. They are paying the hotel way more so they probably get priority
Oh I see. Yeah you could be right about that.
Here's hoping the attendee counts don't match the paid tickets.
Not sure how much the article is adding? Feel free to skip it and watch the video directly.
I'm one of those people who will just skip a video because I want to read an article.
So it's of value to me.
Of course, there are people who are the exact opposite so both are catered for.
Same here. If I wanted to watch videos I’d just go to YouTube directly or use some other non-text social network.
Me too.
Though I'm also sympathetic to copygirl because, in this rare instance, the video is the primary source, not the article.
yep, haven't watched the video yet (I'm sure Jordan's video will show up on my feed at some point soon), but the article seemed decent. concise
Me too, I'm a fast reader it's literally faster
Videos are too slow.
Hey I appreciate you and the video!
