Not exactly caved but it’s progress; they’re getting an average of up to 2 days a week.

During periods of hiring, it’s good to have social encounters, building networks and relationships. In-person office time does not necessarily mean that the social networks develop, it just means that the company is paying for 10m2 of floor space per employee.
