The following sentence contradicts the rest of the article:

It is a tool, and there is no analysis.

Dude, could please elaborate a bit further? Like, which part of the rest of the article do you think this contradicts?

If I understand what you mean, the title says "AI has no technical skills" (which I agree with) but the sentence "... That was where I disagreed" implies that you think "AI is capable of analysing context and reaching rational conclusions" which is weird because AI is a tool that does not think at all, cannot think or analyze by its own definition.

Dude, you should read the first few paragraphs first because I contextualize what I meant by "Illusion of Technical Skill" I'm not referring to AI faking Technical Skill, but people not thinking by themselves and using AI to do so.

Stating what is already in the article that if you read it, you will find:

  • "However, even if an LLM is not able to understand a situation as a human would, that doesn’t make it irrelevant to the discussion about technical competence. A system does not need consciousness to perform part of a cognitive task. If the AI identifies the vulnerability, chooses the tools, generates the commands, interprets the errors and decides the next step, then most of the problem-solving process came from the AI, not from the user. Therefore, the important question is not whether the AI is truly thinking. The important question is: How much thinking is still done by the person using it?”"*

dude, you're actually have a great point. On 4chan, they already would tell me to kill myself, I'm very glad that you're civilized around here, without irony.

But it's also important to notice that the link allows people to read the article without even logging on the platform.

I'm not asking them to join Linkedin, but I get why some people don't like it.
