Compared to previous mayors, Karen Bass has been fine, just not revolutionary. She did reduce homelessness, balanced LAPD with non-police staff, kinda improved housing... but it's all just lukewarm improvements. She's afraid to shake things up, and she was honestly better as a house member. Plus she also has a real bad habit of doing or saying stupid things, as you can see. Remember how early on, she was in Ghana during one of our worst wildfires and managed to make things worse by having a spat with the fire chief? I remember, lol.

Honestly, I'm kind of excited to see if we can have our own Mamdani moment, cause we really need it in an era of Trump. No shade on Bass, we just need more socialists. I'm not sure if Raman will be quite as good as Mamdani, but worth a try, right?
