You’d think a paid game that sold millions of copies wouldn’t need to sell out to freaking subway of all places.

Just because you can make more money, doesn’t mean that you should. This kind of stuff just kills brand image. I liked the time I spent playing Ark Raiders but I probably won’t go back to it or buy Embarks next title if they are just going to fall into brand integrations to milk money from its players

Considering every studio making AAA games is gambling and value engineering their games as hard as possible to make them into destiny 2s (pre collapse) or arc raiders or fortnight, its really surprising they would kill their golden goose.

Theres no guarantee they'll make a second game this succesful if they kill this one... in fact its near certain they wont.

Okay, honestly their YouTube video made it seem way worse than it really is. Buy some Subway, get some cosmetics and in-game items.. Still a bit cringe, but far from what the trailer suggested.
Why Subway though, no idea.

Wow that is fucking disgusting.

I am not going to be able to refund this shit as I have 120 hours into the game although I got bored very quickly and havent played in a while.

I never really review stuff on steam but after work today I shall be going and giving them a negative review for sure. Fuck this capitalist bullshit!
