My dog will beg me to go outside with him. Then he gets bored and goes to lay on the couch inside. Leaving me outside, alone.

My dog once found a bag of cakes on our walk, I dragged him away, and kept on walking, then realised he wasn't with me...he'd snuck back and had his head in the bag scoffing away

So I dragged him away again, got home, sat down on the sofa ready to chill

Within about 5 minutes he was up and at the door indicating he needed to go out. Now this is a dog who was partial to manky kebabs found under bushes which he'd then throw up on my floor, so any indication that he needed to go out was to be taken seriously

So out we go and off he goes with purpose in the direction of the cakes. When I realise he wasn't out to throw up, but to eat more cake I dragged him back home.

He did this twice

Indeed, there was a community farm nearby and people would donate food, usually fruit and veg, some misguided soul left a bag of cakes

Weird. I totally thought this was one of those quirks of the English language like chips/crisps, elevator/lift, cookie/biscuit or hood/bonnet where I was simply unfamiliar with the term. I never would have thought a literal bag of cakes, but for the life of me I couldn't come up with anything cakelike that comes in a bag. Who puts cake in a bag?

Edit: I guess donut holes are cake-like and come in a bag.

They were a mix of sponge cake, yum yums (?) etc

It was probably the best moment of his entire life, all of his dreams come true in the bottom of a supermarket carrier bag

My yorkie knows I like a quiet house, so she never really barks.

Instead, at strategic times and places, she plants herself, looks up at me, and gives me the Oliver Twist "I want some more" face. Depending on the location and time of day, I know exactly what she wants.

She also figured out she gets better results by just peeking her little head around a piece of furniture or a corner rather than showing her whole body, because her tiny, cute little head is devastatingly effective.

The bitch is cunning.

I often joked that my old dog was secretly a cat. Hanging out on high banisters, playing with my yarn, purring when I pet her (it was a low growl, but if I stopped petting she'd swat at me to continue, then resumed the low growl/purr.) I could almost swear she was a cat in a dog costume all along.

Before filling my dogs bowls Ill have them heel and stay. If my lab mix senses its about breakfast time she will just start doing this, which is not the problem. The problem is when my gf feeds them early and then come 8:30 when she does this for a second breakfast attempt

How do you become like this? Were you always an asshole or did you develop it after years of being miserable?
