I have to admit, that I also get lost in climate doomerism sometimes. It is true, that we have changed in the long term, but I don’t think that all hope it lost and we can still do a lot in terms of preventing/mitigating the worst outcomes.

A bit of positive news is, that China is massively rolling out renewable energy sources, to a point, that their emissions have plateaued for over a year now. And around the world people are working towards a liveable planet. Organisations like Planet Wild, Mossy Earth or The Ocean Cleanup just to name a few. I follow a few channels on Youtube that collect and present good news and do a generally good job about presenting information about the climate and the planet. But yeah, there still is a long way to go, but I still believe that it is worth to fight for/work towards positive change

everything I’ve seen suggests that we’ve already hit most of the tipping points so even if we somehow hit net zero this second runaway climate change is already locked in.

Sure, but it can always runaway even faster the less we try to stop it.
