I mean, with James Vowels at the wheel of Williams, I'd say they've been on a broadly upward trajectory. Sainz even got some fantastic results last year on pure merit.

Big step back currently, but maybe he believes they can sort that enough where he doesn't wanna be in a position to shop around

Feels like Williams are in a similar position to McLaren or Aston Martin where they put a lot of effort into doing well last year over preparing for the new regs this year

Well that's kind of surprising. I guess all of the top, or otherwise up and coming, teams are happy with their lineups. One has to assume he's still got big value. As a Williams fan grasping for hope this year I'm beyond excited, but still a bit confused.
