Ah I do love a villanelle
While I do appreciate modern free form poetry too when it's done well, there is also beauty in structure and pattern.

There are lots of cool old structures we barely see anymore. How about the Rondeau Redoublé?

I love someone who can be structured in poetry and really succeed at it. It's very disciplined.
Alternately I mostly hate when poets only use lower case other than e.e. cummings, I think it's a lazy way to make an effect 99% of the time.
