"Hey look how bad these people are"

While completely ignoring the other sides much much much worse implementation of the same stuff

This user posts news about both sides. We can and should pay attention to wrongdoing on both sides of the aisle. Establishment Dems must be replaced if we want to stop the GOP neo-nazis, because otherwise we'll keep seeing "Democrats" like Fetterman, Schumer, Collins, Sinema, and Jeffries hamstring us the whole way.

dems should be fucking pissed at this shit; of course we should be critical of GOP fuckery, but even more, we should be getting those dollars to supporting actual campaigns

You're missing the point. It doesn't matter what the other side is doing. This is bad for getting democrats elected.

The point is that stakes are higher than that... its democracy or no democracy is the choice.

Bad democrats are the least worse option.

Bad democrats are the least worse option.

Second worst by the narrowest possible margin loses elections. Berate the voters all you want, it won't change a thing. The republicans whose votes you want won't vote for the lesser evil because it's lesser. The left you hate won't vote for the lesser evil because it's evil.

Stop being evil.

Here’s why

In breaking down the expenditures for the leading clearinghouses of spam fundraising appeals, Bonica found that out of some $670 million in donations, just $11 million wound up in the coffers of campaigns, national party committees, and individual candidates. The other $659 million stayed with the fundraising groups themselves. That works out, Bonica wrote, to “a fundraising efficiency rate of just 1.6 percent.”

Astounding. I had low expectations but they managed to surprise me anyway. Really hope we can clear out the rest of the establishment DNC and cultivate an actual(!) alternative to fascism

That's the case with most fundraising efforts, for cancer research, schools, etc. Nearly all of it goes to the fundraising mechanism, especially salaries.

I own a business, and I get asked to do fundraisers all the time. Of course, they want me to do it for free, "for the exposure" because "people with money" will be there. When I was new, I did few, and got nothing but requests to do more free fundraisers. Now I flat out tell them "No, I'm what you spend your money on to attract more money." If they don't like it, I don't care. Why should I worry about losing a free gig, or chasing off someone who demands I work for free?

Fundraising is a scam.
