it's been 33% for a decade now. Nothing will shake off these cultists. They don't care.

they have been told to not listen with thier eyes and ears. all based on assumption and vibes, mainly MSMs dont talk about the severity of the economic impact he has done to republicans, because they dont see these info out.

I think it's crazy that he's still at 33%. Here in Germany our chancellor Merz now sits at 18% approval and while he's a lobbyist shill, commits blunder after blunder and I see him as entirely unfit for the job, Trump is still orders of magnitudes worse. I fear a significant share of Americans are completely out of touch with what freedom and democracy actually means.

It doesn't make sense when you read about it abstractly, absolutely. But I really recommend going into US conservative spaces online to experience the propaganda engine they're being subjected to for yourself. It's so much more overwhelming than you think it is, and it makes complete sense why they're like this - people are spending billions upon billions of dollars to make damn sure they stay like this: loyal, and kept securely in their massive iron info-bubble.

Also speaking to them irl will get you an understanding that they're wholly unreceptive to alternative perspectives. This politician and party have become load bearing facets of many Americans' identities.

5

I do occasionally watch conservative news and it's just so over the top, I still can't understand it. It's just so without nuance and on the nose, I'd find it insulting if someone expected me to take it seriously. It's literally constructed like those old email scams so that nobody with any common sense, good judgement, or self awareness could possibly engage with it, leaving it to speak directly to the dullest among us.

I think these things get seen as "people in America are 33% happy with him, mostly not" when it's really "2 out of 3 people gave a rational answer on a survey that was likely collected online".

For one, dictator types and cults of personality will always have something like 15% die hard fans that won't believe anything negative about their dear leader. People are like that. They get swept up in a wave of jingoistic pride and start to believe this one guy thinks how they do and will solve the problems they face. And it's so bad he's willing to use violence, and he's the only one who's willing to go there.

In the US too, we particularly weaponized Fox News so that they can raise that 15% number a bit higher... Anyone saying anything bad about him is considered fake news, don't trust anything you hear, etc. I would not be surprised if they fostered a jingoistic 25% here.

Some of those votes are people who are batshit crazy accelerationists who will vote for the most terrible choice to cause as much chaos as possible, polling and voting.

Some of those votes are people fucking with the system and just saying the name because it causes drama and it's probably an online poll that doesn't mean shit.

Then some of those votes are just people not understanding wtf they're reading because they're idiots.

Add it all up and I don't think he can go lower, even if you literally showed a video of him eating a baby with Epstein.

There's still women dancing outside the NXVM guy's prison window.

1

They're radicalized. Their propaganda keeps them perpetually angry so they're easy to manipulate. They can't snap out of an identity cult, they need professional help.

2

He may be at 18% but the share of people willing to vote for an even worse party is at 28%

Conservatives genuinely believ Trump Derangement Syndrome is a real mental jealth condition. The fact that a third of respondents still support him is no surprise. A third of this country will support him no matter what.

16

Trump Derangement Syndrome is absolutely real: 33% of Americans clearly suffer from it.

10

Like everything else the far right says, Trump Derangement Syndrome is projection. People who voted for President Pedo are the ones who are deranged.

its crazy to see such high approval numbers given everything he has done. I mean im not surprised with the human rights abuses but they are fine with saying having a gun makes it ok for cops to kill you and have decimated our military capability and privatized some of intel. I mean these are supposed to be their sacred cows.

3

20% will support him no matter what, the rest we can win back, but it's hard if they're radicalized

33%. It may seems low, but it's basically a third of the population. Not the majority, but for every three US citizen, one of them actively support this fascist turd. One in every three US citizen approves, even support the incompetence, corruption and crimes of this regime, only because they dislike people of color and/or LGBT and/or woman. One of three US citizen is a racist, homophobe and sexist piece of shit.

13

Don't forget, stupid enough to believe he wasn't doing horrible stuff with epstein. And dont believe all the women who have accused him of things. And still think he's going to drain the swamp. And still think he's a Christian. And think he cares at all about the cost of living. And that hes going to do something about the national debt. And think he's going to make America great again...

2

So he's lost 100% of the support he can lose. That is amazing.

18

And yet, you take three Americans, and statistically, one in three of them are in favour of this.

One-third of Americans are not billionaires. I would even venture that one-third of Americans are not even financially secure.

11

The childhood propaganda game is strong for the US. Most of those people lived through the height of an empire, which further reinforced the propaganda they were fed in their youths. They see Trump as the only one that isn't too weak to keep the empire going.

So, Trump is grifting them. He's a snake oil salesman selling continued relevance with no sacrifice from his faithful. These people are unable to admit they are wrong and that their childhood history lessons were sanitized.

5

Trump supporters are either billionaires or idiots. If you support Trump and you aren't sure which category you fall in, check your stock portfolio.

4

They're on welfare. He took their welfare away. They still love him.

Flock Safety proliferated under Biden's nose too, not to defend Trump, but the previous administration was complicit

7

There was 4511 flock cameras last month of Biden's presidency. There is 129000 now. Like all the other both sides issues, once you go to the numbers, quantity translates to quality a lot.

If I remember, Democrats were pretty eager for the Patriot act. They're always easy to get on board for mass surveillance and they carry equal blame.

I guess Florida will either:

Vote for Nixon because they hate Nixon

or

Vote against Nixon because they love Nixon

10
feddit.online

Which ia why she will be on the General Ballot against a Republican. My comment would make no sense if it were two Democrats.

Maybe you're not getting the joke, here.

[Richard] Nixon versus [Angie] Nixon, who have polar opposite political ideology.

It would be cool if Billy Joel came out with a sequel (or just additional verses) covering 1990-2026. It's not going to happen (apparently Joel himself doesn't actually like the song's melody), but it would be cool if it did.

2

Fall Out Boy did a cover a couple years back going from 1989 - 2023

You reached the end
